Working with oil stick is one of my favorite mediums. The soft pigment suspended in oil and wax reminds me of the consistency of lipstick. So the sensation of applying it is so luscious! But I work with more like a pencil. An extension of the hand the marks are immediate and intuitive just feeling the energy of the paint and gesture.
