Collection: New Life: Visualizing Renewal With Abstracted Paint And Gesture

In life's ordinary cycles of beginnings and endings can actually be extraordinary encounters of new life. If we have eyes to see them.

Seeds buried deep in the soil break open for the new sprouts to burst forth. Glorious blooms transform barren, empty terrain.  Sunset in one place becomes sunrise elsewhere. The enfant quickening within waters of the womb before breathing first-air. Charred ground generating nourishment for new growth. Color-drenched images of the cosmos with celestial bodies millions of years old witnessed for the first time.  The promise that death is defeated by love's promise of eternal life. 

We experience everyday encounters of the liminal - threshold moments that usher new life. These overwhelming gifts of grace are my inspiration for these abstract works.
